ON TO ROOF OF COW SHED. Miss Marjorie A. Cummerfield, daughter of Mr and Mrs E. H. Cummerfield, of Apiti, lies in the. Feilding private hospital ' suffering considerable injury through being tossed by a bull on her parents' farm on Monday mornin S- ■,..'-'
Miss Cummerfield was standing •in the cow yard with the cattle when the bully considered a quiet beast, rushed her and tossed her high into the air. Fortunately, instead of fall-" ing back into the. yard where the bull was, Miss Cummerfield landed on the roof of the cow bails and rolled from there to drop on-, to a concrete floor. Assistance was rendered as promptly as possible and Dr. Barnicoat was called to render first aid.
In addition to severe shock, Miss Cummerfield is suffering from severe laceration, but, fortunately, has suffered no broken bones.
Miss Cummerfield is widely known throughout the district and is extremely popular with a wide circle of friends. She is a enthusiastic and capable tennis player and was only last week selected for the Manawatu representative team.
