MOTOR ACCIDENT AT IHAKARA
DEATH OF MR T. O’DONNELL. The death of Mr Thomas O’Donnell, occurred at the Palmerston North Hospital on Thursday morning, as a result of the motor accident that happened on (the Ihakara Hill on Thursday last. It will be remembered that a collision took place and the car fell over the Lank, Mr T. O'Donnell sustaining serious injuries to the back, while Mrs O'Donnell and child were badly shaken and bruised and Mr Maurice O’Donnell suffered facial abrasions.
The deceased belonged to a family well-knowin and (highly! respected in Levin district, being the third son of Mr and Mrs P. J. O’Donnell, Bartholomew Road. He had resided for some years in Wanganui, where he leaves a widow ar.d an infant boy. He is also survived by a'Sister, Miss O’Donnell, of Levin, and four brothers—Mr Maurice O’Donneii, who is a schoolmaster in the Wairarapa district; Mr Ewart O’Donnell, in the advertising business in Sydney; Mr Leo O’Donnell, of the Federal Hansard staff, Canberra; and Mr William E. O’Donnell, in the estate business in Bronx, New York. The heartfelt sympathy of the community will go out to all the relatives in their painful bereavement. The body will be taken to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Levin, to-day. Requiem Mass will be held there on Saturday morning, and the funeral will take place in the afternoon.
