COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

Last Saturday, at the home of her parents, Haunui, Eketahuna, Miss Mary Robbie (formerly of Levin) celebrated the reaching of her majority. The homestead was lavishly decorated by the houfe party with streamers, silver bells, balloons, witches and the word "Mary" in large letters ornamented with gold and silver dolls. The guests were confined to young people and ( a happy crowd filled the reception rooms. Dancing took place in ths dining room and hall and the music was supplied by Mrs James Bobbie, Miss Robbie an,d. Mr Rupert Curtis. During the evening an iced birthday cake was cut and the health of Miss Robbie drunk to a toast proposed in happy vein by Mr F. Silver 1 and answered by- Hiss Robbie herself. The health of the host ard hestess was also drunk and responded to by Mr Robbie. A delicious supper was served and greatly enjoyed by all.
