THE HOUSEKEEPER

PATENT LEATHER SHOES.

When you purchase a pair of- patent leather shoes give them a coat of vaseline before you put them on for the first time. Use ordinary vaseline and smear it all over the outside of the shoes. Bub well in and then, with the eid of a soft rag, take off the grease that is left. This lengthens the life of the leather and prevents it from cracking easily.
