CROQUET.
On the local green yesterday Mesdames Franks and Mason successfully defended a challenge from Mis 3 Herrick and Mrs Evans of the Manakau \Clrb for the Nicholson Mallets, winning by 26 points to 16. At the end of this week the holders will defend a challenge from the Levin Club.
