A NOVEL CAR CUSHION
A driving cushion which will add to the comfort on a long journey and which, incidentally, will prove useful in another way, can easily be made at home from a yard of 30in. material of a "colour to match or tone with the upholstery of the car. The material is cut down the celatro to make two pieces which are then joined together to form a strip two yards long and 15 inches wide. The ends are turned up with a fairly wide hem and the material laid out with the pattern upwards; both ends are folded towards the middle, not allowing them to meet, but leaving about Gins, of space between. The sides of these flaps aro then stitched down and the Gins, left between them made neat by hemming or binding the edges. The material is then in the form of a huge wallet with two pockets into which starves, pullovers and wraps ' can be pushed, which will be useful if one is kept late on the road, yet will be out of the way all day, forming the nucleus of a cushion for use either inside the ear while driving or outside while picnicking.
