Nothing definite was arrived at with the Druids’ Lodge, but the representatives of the Lodgg had arranged that the matter be fully discussed at their next Lodge meeting. The townspeople that had been interview,ed were favourable towards the scheme.
As it will be some‘ considerable time before the proposed association can be (i fmined and the obtaining of a reu- ’ dent local doctor is of great urgency, it was resolved, on the motion of'Mr Jas. Curran, that the Palmerston North Hospital Board be communicated with asking them to provide a guarantee for a local doctor, providing the Borough Council repay Hie Board, if necessary, the amount. of guarantee, less the Palmerston North Hospital' Board's subsidy. '' . , ‘ The various sub committees will still continue their pursuits in the interests of the medical association.
