The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly stock sale at the Levin yards on Tuesday, when there was a good yarding of cattle and pigs. Bidding was keen and a total clearance was effected. Quotations: Cattle. —Medium fat cows £8 10s to £lO, Light fat cows £7 to £8 ss, forward' condition cows £6 to £6 10s, store cows £4 5s to £5 ss.
Light, .fat heifers,' £7 to £lO 2s 6d, good S. H. yearling steers £7 11s. ydarling Jersey heifers £6 7s to £7 30s, weaner heifers £2 2s, dairy heifers in profit £7, bulls £4 10s to £7 10s. Pigs.—porkers 38s to 48s, stores 20s to 30s, weaners 14s 6d to 22s 6d.
