THE OHIC OF THE FLAT COIFFURE
DARK HEADS ARE SMART, SLEEK; FAIR ONES SOFTLY WAVED.
The choice of a hair-dressing depends not on fashion but on the shape of your head and your face. Short hair and simple flat coiffures are -generally becoming t:o girls. In every season, however, and with t-very fashion, the face comes first. If your head is.flat at the back/.or your nose is prominent, perhaps you need the balance that a knot or hair will give. If your forehead is high and your hair fine, though sleek hair and centre partings are the vogue, you ! 11 do well, maybe, to choose a simple side-parting and to wave your hair (0 soften the forehead.
Round heads may be sleek; long narrow ones are often benefited by a little fluffiness. Dark hair is smartest/straight or flatly waved, while fair hair often looks better fluffy. If you don't like the way your head looks, experiment., Take two mirrors, one in your hand and one on the wall. Try your hair flatter or fluffier. Try your knot (if yon, have one) higher, lower, broader. , If your head looks top-heavy, try thinning your hair; if it looks too skimpy, see wbat waving will do. Do all this checking up with the mirror at each stage. The effect .should be judged from : .the neck up. The suecess of any hair arrangement is dependent to a great extent on, its* absolute neatness. The hair should first be brushed into perfect order, and the arrangement should be made slowly and carefully.
