On Wednesday afternoon- the LeVin Golf. Club's season was brought to "a close in beautiful weather. A competition took place, in, the form .of a mixed Ifoursoma, for isilver buttons presented by Dr. Hunter.- The winning pair were Mrs Hosie and C. Sherwood, with a score of 92 —28 —64. Quite a number .of visitors were pre-. sent, and afternoon tea was served under the supervision of Mrs .J. D. Brown. -'."■..!■-

The final for the junior championship,'played for. recently between J. D. Brown and' G. C. France, was an evenly contested match oyer the first . IS holes, Fiance being one tip. In the afternoon Brown forged ahead -aridwon by 3up and 2to play- ; .-' K The "final'' of the Heatherlea Handicap Cup was played for over the week-end, resulting in a win for the season's x-hampion, W. G. Clark, .who . beat F. Ryder, 4 up and 2 to play. » For a trophy given by Mr J. D. Brown, a medal match was played, and this was won by W. G. Clark, who put up a very-fine performance, handing a score of 75 —5—70. G. Lamb was second, his card reading: 95—24 i_ 71 _ ; : ■■'.■' '■
