SMALL ELECTRIC MOTORS.
MINIMUM CHARGE FOR CURRENT REDUCED.
A reduction in favour of the users of half-horse-power motors, whL'Ji are largely used to drive separators, was decided on by the Horowhenua Power Board on Tuesday. The Secretary (Mr Gold-smith') slated that in June last the Finance Committee asked for advice as to the extent to which users would be nffecT3l by any proposed reduction lVom a nu-i.-mum charge of 5s to one-, of 2s Gd a month on motors of i h.fl. or less. The information then was thfi" 54 consumers connected-were affo'led The number who would apparently receive full benefit was 31, and the remaining 23 would receive partial benofit, varying with the number of units used.
