WRITS TO ISSUE ON FRIDAY.

♦ ' LESS .THAN WEEK TO ENROL. The writ for the General Election will be issued next Friday, October 19th, states the Prime Minister. It was previously expected by Returning Officers that Tuesday would be the day of issue. It will be necessary for all who are entitled to vote and who are not already enrolled to take immediate steps to see that their names are on the roll. The obligation is oir the individual to' .see that this is done and all who fail to register are subject to prosecution and fine. The writ, which prescribes the date on which nominations will close, is returnable within forty days.
