ELECTORS SHOULD ENROL AT ONCE.
ROLLS MAY CLOSE AT ANY MOMENT. According to the Electoral Act, the writs for the General Election are to be issued within seven days and not less than three days after the rising of Parliament. The rolls close automatically immediately the writs are issued. This means that the latest date available for enrolment is Tuesday next, while the period of grace may close at any time ini the intfriml Electors would therefore be well advised to make sure that their names are on the roll without delay. Barclay, who is contesting the Prime Minister's seat and has begun his campaign. "I don't know, but I'll give him a good go for it," replied the candidate. "And your name is Barclay, it is?" persisted the farmer. "Yes," was the reply. "Well, then, I think it should -have been Buckley," wjjs the old.farmer's final thrust —an ef fort which brought roars of laughter from the audience.
