Up one street and down another he went, going faster and faster; and waving to the -people in the streets. They wondered but got out of the way. Policemen rushed out and tried to stop him, but ho kept on. In an hour or so he came to a halt, and an officer stepped up to him. *' Why didn’t you stop when I ordered you to!”
"Stop!” exclaimed the man. "I wanted to, but didn’t know’ how 7 ! I had to go till the gas gave out!”
