SPRING CLEANING HINT
Even if you have already tackled the hard actual cleaning of tbehouse, there always remains the touches to be added—while you feel in the springcleaning mood. ; Cushion covers, curtains and loose covers which are faded though quite fresh after washing, can be put in humbler positions to make way for new summery ones in the best rooms. Heavy natural shantung for easement curtains, and strong holland'for loose covers are very popular now-and ideal for summer use. The holland covers look smart with red, jade or naVy pipings. Overhaul garden furniture now. It will soon be needed, we hope, for porch and lawn use. Scrub bamboo chairs and tables with cold, salted water; inspect deck chairs and hammocks for signs of wqar; cover worn cushions with gay covers of jazz-pat-terned cotton.
