BRITISH LABOUR’S POLITICAL PROSPECTS.
CHIEF WHIP EXPECTS ITS, RETURN TO POWER. 7 1 7 RUGBY, Sept. 5. At the Trades Union Congress to-day Mr Henderson, chief Whip of the Labour Party, predicted the success of his party at the coming general election. He said: “If the signs of the. time are read correctly, the coming .months will see Labour’s greatest .political adventure. “Labour now stands on the threshold of poAver and responsibility, and it is all the more important to , maintain, a close contact betAveen the industrial and political sides. They must endeavour to harmonise and eo-ordihate their respective policies.”
