FINAL FIXTURES,
It Av*as decided that the final for the Nash Cup, betAveen Weraroa and Slhiffi non, be played on at Levin. In the event of a tie, tAVo extra spells of ten minutes each Avill be played, A\ v ith a toss-up for the choice of ends; and if there is no further score the match Avill be re-played. . ' The final of the junior knock-out. contest, for the Licensed Victuallers’ Cup, will be played *at Otaki on Saturday, under the conditions set- out for the above match. The secretary reported that Mr O’Rourke had promised to get the ground in order and take charge of the gates. With regard to the third-grade final, between Otaki and Shannon, Mr Mitchell moved .and Mr Richards seconded ’that the game be played at Shannon.
The chairman' said he thought there was a motion on the books that finals be played at Levin. The reason for the junior match being played at Otaki was that this was a condition in connection with the cup. With regard to the third-grade final, it was only fair to the teams to bring them, to the centre, unless it was proposed to allow them to draw for the home grofind. In the senior knock-out, the Nash Cup conditions prescribed that the final had to be played in Levin. If Otaki had a ground available for the thirdgrade match on Saturday, he would be in favour of the teams drawing for the ground. '.Mr Richards suggested positioning the third-grade match till the following Saturday, but the chairman said that it was too late in the season to postpone the game and the Council wished to have the three finals disposed of on Saturday. / The motion was lost, only the two Shannon delegates voting for it. The committee then decided, on the' motion of Mr Casey, that the third-grade final be played at Weraroa on Saturday, at 2.30 p.m. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES.
It was resolved to hold a supper at which the trophies won during the season will be presented. September 18th was tentatively set down as the date.for the function, and it will be preceded by a meeting of the management comwhich will not meet next week. WEKAROA TO PLAY HUTT TEAMS
