SUBSTANTIAL REFUND FOR FARMERS. The Manawatu Herd-teat,mg Association's share of the Government subsidy announced recently is £644 7s for the 1927-28 season, and this amount has now come to hand. The grant represents Is per cow 'for all cows tested 150 days, and over, and this amount wfill be refunded during the coming month.

The Association now has 14 groups w r ith 20,000 cows," and operates from Wanganui across to Ohingaiti, Rangiwahia, Apiti, down the Pohangina Valley, Kairanga and as far south as Paraparaumu.
