PUBLIC NOTICES. BUCKLEY DRAINAGE BOARD. SPECIAL ORDER. EE LOAN OF £IOOO. is hereby given that the following special order was passed ht a special meeting of the Buckley Drainage Board held on the 13th day of August, 1928. That the Buckley Drainage Board proceed to raise under the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and also under the power contained in “The Local Authorities’ Empowering (relief of unemployment) Act, 1926,’’ and amendments, Orders in Council in pursuance of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and section 114 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, having been obtained authorising the Board to borrow and in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf the special loan of One thousand pounds (£1000) for the purpose of banking the Koputaroa Stream, 2. That such loan be called “The BuckleV Drainage Board Unemployment -Relief Loan 0 f £IOOO, 1928. 3. That the currency of the said loan shall be for a period of twenty (20) years commencing on the first day "of-AugUst, 1928, and maturing on the first day of August, 1948. 4. That the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of Six pounds (£6) per centum per annum and be payable" half-yearly on each first day of February and August in each year. 5. That the. form of security for the. payment of principal and interest, on the said loan shall be ONE (1) debenture of One thousand pounds (£1000) and relative coupons in a form in formity with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926. 6. That a sinking fund of Three pounds. (£3) per centum per-annum be established in respect of the loan. 7. That the Board doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, sinking fund and other charges thereon the special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all'rateable property in the. Buckley Drainage District as follows: — On lands classified “A” a special rate of ' one-half penny (Id) in the pound sterling, • /“ - On lands classified “B” a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (£d) in the pound sterling. On lands classified “C” a special rate of "'one-sixteenth of a penny (l-16d) in the pound sterling. 8. That the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. v 9. That the cost of raising the loan but not- the interest and sinking fund for the first year be paid out of the loan. And it is the intention of the Board :o confirm such resolution at a meeting of the Board .to be held at the office ’, of the Board, Shannon jit 10.30 a.m. on the 27th day of August, 1928. JOHN T.
