CAUSES OF ACCIDENTS
Kipling was wrong, the female of the species has been proved to be less deadly than the male.
• This proof came from the report off uni official detailed to investigate the causes of the last 1,000 traffic accidents in San Francisco, United States.
In 1910 instances the drivers were men, while forty-six wore found to be women. Forty-four drivers were unknown, because they hit and ran. these figures should be read in conjunction with those which show that women hold 20 per cent, of the driving licenses issued in San Francisco, yet they are responsible for a little less' than 5 per cent, of fatal accidents. • An analysis made five years ago gave similar results, so that the female of the species is not becoming any moredeadly. ___________
