KILLED BY FALL OF EARTH
DUNEDIN, Last Night. Henry Dineen, aged 50** years, was killed this afternoon through a fall of earth and stone when working on relief works on the Port Chalmers Spit road. Deceased was working with a gang excavating the side of a hill 25 feet high when the fall took place. He was dug out by comrades and was then alive, but died while being brought to the Dunedin Hospital. Dineen was a widower and resided in Wesley street. South Dunedin.
