FARM CREDITS IN ITALY
BiiCent legislation in Italy makes provision for agricultural credit in a comprehensive manner. Loans, repayable over five years, are to be granted for such development work as setting up plantations, construction of buildings, arid the making of farm roads, farm drainage, etc. f Short-term loans are to be available for the purchase of live stock or machinery, and on the deposit of produce in public or private warehouses and for the utilisation or transformation of products. Special provision is made for loans to agricultural associations for the financial assistance of members in their farming operations and for the utilisation and collective sale of their product*,
