GOLF NOTES.
The interclub match between the Levin and Shannon golf clubs took place on the Shannon links on Saturday afternoon. The day Avas beautifully fine and both sides Avere represented by a full team. Some very close games were played, there being no less than 5 halves. The result of the afternoon’s play Avas: Shannon, 9 aaJiis; Levin, 8 wins; and 5 games Averc halved. Phillips lost to McKenzie. Smaill beat D. Saxon. Mowbray halved with King. W. Phillips beat Blackwood. Coker beat Cronquest. Crisp lost to H. Stern. Blake lost to C. Stern. LADIES (12 HOLES). Mrs Clark beat Mrs Saxon. Miss Gadell lost to Mrs Morgan. Miss Kcbbell halved with Miss Sax
Mrs Park halved with Miss Sinclair. Mrs O’D'onell beat Mrs Moynilian. Miss Whittaker beat Mrs Cronquest. Miss Kilsby beat Mrs Spencer. Mrs Denton beat Mrs Dillon. 'Members are reminded of the medal match to be played on Saturday next 21st July. All completed cards must be signed by an opponent and placed in the box, otherwise the score will be disallowed. Members are also warned against playing too close up to those in front of them. Complaints are being made of the non observance of this important rule.
