MARRIAGE.

ALEXANDER—STEWART. A pretty wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church, Palmerston, when Victoria Elizabeth Stewart, daughter of the Rev. A. F. Stewart 'of Bulls, antl late of Shannon, was married to James Rowe Alexander, son x of Mr and Mrs •Tames Alexander, of Napier. The bride looked charming in her gown of ivory georgette and silver lace, the skirt hanging in uneven flares at the sides. Her veil was caught in cap fashion with, clusters of, orange blossom. A beautiful bouquet of fVeesias and bbuvardia was carried. The Eev. A. F. Stewart, father of the bride, officiated^assisted by Ihe ■ jtev. Nicolas (Foxton). The Rev. J. Farnell. Shannon, gave the bride away, and Mr Arnold Gany, Palmerston North, was best man. The bridesmaid was Miss Winnie Alexander (Napier), in a sweetly, pretty frock of cyclamen crepe-de-chene, and silver leaves, ,and little June Ransom (Bulls), wag a dainty little figure in a blue taffeta frock and silver slippers. carried lovely bouquets to tone with their frocks.

The bridegroom's gifts were a handsome fox fur to the bride, a gold armlet to the bridesmaid, and a string of pearls to the little flower girl. The happy couple left later on their honeymoon, the bride* travelling, in a very smart mushroom pink repp frock, with a coat and hat to tone.
