PRIMARY SCHOOL RUGBY.
AUSTIN BANNER FINAL ON SATURDAY. The Primary Schools Rugby competition has now reached a very interesting stage. The leading teams, Foxton and Levin, Avith one loss each, meet, at Weraroa at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Foxton team plays a back game that is a pleasure to watch, and the local boys can be exp?eted to give a good account of themselves.
On August 4th a Hutt Valley team will play the Horowhenua Primary representatives in Levin. On August 11th the local reps go to Wellington to play there. The Noad Shield, seven-a-side, open to all primary schools, and a rep. trial game' will be arranged in the near future. The position of teams is as follows: —
The Shannon juniors to meet Miranui on Saturday will be selected from the following:—-Birehall, Jamieson, Mason, Satherley, Jude, Holder, (2), Gray, Lankshear* Robinson, Pratt, Warman, Whyte, Robbie, Ngatuma, Cumin, Coyle.
