HINTS ON BUYING A FROCK

WHICH ARE WORTH REMEMBERING..

When I buy a frock I. al ovays set about it in a good mood. I don't sail forth at the end of the day when I am already jaded and dispirited and unfit to arrive at any sensible conclusion. Before I go I decide the colour I want, or the cho'ce of colours, and the wear it. Before I try the frock on I take care to powder my nose and. to tidy my hair. I always look at the back view as well as the front, and I always put my money on a good material rather than elaborate trimmings.

For day frocks I *hun velvet. I am very faithful to a good stockinette and a face cloth. I nearly always bar serge; it shows every mark and is not an economical proposition. For evening wear I love the look of ninon, but never buy it; it creases terribly; for travelling T cleave to taffetas and plain satins; they pack beautifully and wear a lifetime.
