CTJNARD ROSE BOWL.

Judging in the butter section of the National Dairy Show which opens to-morrow in Palmerston North, was completed on Saturday. The members of the Dairy Division who carried out the judging, report that the N number of entries constituted a record for the Manawatu A. and P. Association. The quality of the butter in the various classes was of uniformly high standard, and opened up after the two and a-half months' storage in splendid condition. This being the first season of the prohibition of preservatives, it .is gratifying to note that butter made from a sound raw material will produce a sound, keeping article. This reflects credit on both suppliers and manufacturers, and indicates that cream grading and farm dairy instruction has been a' large contributing factor.
