A BIRD’S NEST FOR YOUR COAT

| NEW IDEAS IN POSIES. | A w T hole procession of buttonhole ppsics.has appeared, some of them made up of the most unexpected materials and shapes. iOne novelty consists of a tuft of pine needles flipped into green enamel and interspersed with' tiny globules of bi?ow T n glass, red and white ones, that lopk like transparent berries. •Leaves and flow r ers made of beaten metal are either left in gold or silver hue or covered w r it.h a thin Limoges enamel in lovely transparent colours, and both ideas lend originality to lapel posies. A little bunch of toadstools in red, blue and green, is a quaint addition to the coat lapel or collar. They are made of wooden buttons covered with silk or velvet, having painted black or white spots. A bird’s nest with' a beautifullymade little bird sitting in it, is another quaint device for brightening a sombre fur of cloth coat.
