LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
At the weekly Levin stock sale, yesterday, Messrs Abraham and WilLtd., offered good yardings of sheep and pigs and a small entry of cattle ( mostly dairy stock); to a large attendance of the public. They quote as follows: — Sheep.—Fat lambs 25s to 27s 7d, prime lambs £2, fat ewes 33s Bd, ewe lambs 21s 3d to 235, ewes in lamb 335, black-faced lambs 23s 6d, medium wether lambs 14s 9d to 17s sd, wether lambs 20s to 25s 7d. Cattle. —Springing heifers £ll ss, springing cows £l3. Pigs. —Light stores Us 6d, stores 18s to 22s 6d, slips 16s 6d, light porkers 22s 6d to 28s, heavy porkers £2 lis to £2 16s. DAIRY COWS SELL WELL. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report having held a very successful sale of dairy stock on account of Mr W. S. Carter, Shannon, on the 17th inst. The cows were in good condition and sold readily under keen competition. The herd of 63 eows including f cows averaged £ll. We quote:—Best cows, £lO, £ll, £ll 10s, £l2, £l2 ss, £l3, £l3 10s £l4, £ls, £ls ss, to £l7; later calvers, £6 10s, £6 15s, £7, £8 ss, £8 15s, £9 15s; heifers, £9 10s to £lO ss; weaner heifers, £3 14s; sows to farrow, £2 10s to £4; boar, 6 guineas; store pigs, £1 10s; horses, £8 10s, £l3 to £2O; sundries sold well.
