.» The coarseness of the skin which accompanies acne is best treated by the following method. Apply any simple cold cream liberally to the face, bathe with very hot water for some minutes, wipe away the remains of the cream, and immediatey apply an astringnt lotion. A few drops of eau-de-Cologne in a little cold water serves very well. After this any pure vanishing cream and face powder can be used. If the spots are numerous and disfiguring, sulphur soap and sulphur ointment will help cure .them.
