WINTER SHOW ADVERTISING. • One of the most ambitious efforts eier presented to the public of New Zealand in the, way of show schedules isj the latest issue of “The Call,” the official list and prospectus of the Waikato Winter Show. The Call this year takes an entirely new form. It 4s in magazine style, 50 pages thick, and is rdplete with information regarding the show and the wonderful district irt which it is held. It is enclosed in a very striking cover of two colours, with the classic figure of a woman with one hand raised and pointing to Hamilton, the other holding a clarion to her lips sounding The Call to the greatest of New Zealand’s winter exhibitions. The book also contains a useful calendar, gives full instructions as to how to- reach the Winter Show, with a plan the buildings and an application form for space. There are full rules arid regulations, an interesting article on the place of the railways in the life of the nation, an informative article oii Hamilton, and another descriptive of Frankton. Waikato’s development, as' a dairying district is dealt with ably, and some interesting notes to farmers are contained in the. later pages. Housewives will be interested in two special pages of cooking recipes, while some exceedingly useful hints on precautions to be adopted in case of fire are also given. The Call also contains a very complete railway timetable for the Show, leaving no opening for confusion on the part of visitors. There is a concluding article on “Cambridge, the Garden of the Waikato,” and one dealing with the progress of the Hamilton Technical High School. Tlie association is to be congratulated upon dressing its windows so ably.
