LIVING MASOOTS.
THE LATEST IN SYDNEY. Not so very long ago it was the custom of many motorists to swing animal totems across the rear hood windows of their cars. Others again preferred radiator cap mascots. But it is the real thing that always makes the lasting appeal and they had to come. On the radiator, cap of a Baby Austin at a Sydney beach on a secent Sunday a live jackass L:»lkiiecd and laughed defiance at other cars. This bird has a little perch built on the runningboard, sheltered from the wind, and he enjoyed the trip better, it seemed, than those in the car . A Hudson sedan passed through Hyde during the weekend with a galah, caged, on the running board. It was a successful attempt to harmonise the bird' and his colour with that of the grey car.
