WEDDING.
BUTCHER—NIOOLS. The pretty wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, Shannon, on Wednesday, 18th April, by the Rev. R. Williamson, of Miss Margaret Craig, only daughter of Mrs Butcher and the late Mr W. H. Butcher, of Eketahuna, and Harold William, youngest son of Mrs Nicols and the late Mr J. Nicols, of Eketahuna. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion, and Miss Craig (Melbourne), aunt of the Bride, officiated at the organ. The bride who. was given away by Mr Edmonds, of Glen Oroua, an old friend of the bride’s family, wore a eharming gown of white georgette with silver lace, with a handsome veil and orange blossom, and carried a .pretty bouquet of white flowers and palest pink orchids. The bridesmaid, Miss Coral Edmonds, was atitired in a frock of mauve crepe-de-chiue and lace, and wor.e a coronet of pale pink. She carried a bouquet of mauve and pink flowers.. Mr J. Fafeita, of Paraparaumu, carried out the duties of best man. After the wedding, a reception was held in the Parish Hall, when the usual toasts were honoured. , The bride’s mother, who received the guests, w'ore.a navy crepe-de-chine frock and hat to match and black silk coat. Mr and Mrs Nicols left for the north later in the day, the bride travelling in a blue ensemble suit and hat to match. Their future home will be in Woodville, and they carry with them the best wishes of their many friends.
