Messrs. Levin and Co. Ltd., hnvc received the following cable from their London agents dated 30th March 1928:--
“Frozen m,eat quotations (prices on a 11 delivered ’ ’ basis, he., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.): Down Limb 28/42, 9d., per lb; best North Island 28/42 B|d. per lb; ordinary North Island 28/42 8 3 Bd. per lb; second quality lamb BJd. per lb; best North Island Wethers 48/64 6 5-Bd. per lb; best North Bland Wethers 64/72 5 l-Bd. per lb; ordinary North Island Wethers 48/64 6 2 b1. per lb. North Island ewes 4S/64 5 1-Bd. per lb; Now Zealand Prime Ox Beef 160/220 4J. per lb. . As compared with last week's quo tations, Down Lamb is 3-Sd. per lb. lower. Best and Ordinary Lamb l-Bd. per lb lower. Best Wethers id. pei lb lower, and Ordinary Wethers .and Light Ewes l-Bd. per lb. The market for Prime Lamb 2’s is steady and heavy lambs are a slow sale, with a declining tendency. The market for mutton is easier, and the demand is poor.
