HOROWHENUA RUGBY REFEREES.

A PUBLIC INVITATION. An appeal for public support is being made by the Xlorowhcnua Rugby Referees’ Association, and with good reason . The referees as a .body are teehn’eal controllers of football, and upon tiieir qualifications as individuals and their strength as an organisation the success of the game largely depends. Members of the public who wish to see efficiency in Rugby, fostered can do much towards this end by becoming members of the association and giving it their moral support, even if they are not able to participate activedv in the directing of matches. Therefore an invitation is extended and as many as can do so to attend the annual meeting of the Hqrowhenua body, to be held in the De Luxe Concert Chamber'on Monday,. April -md, at 8 p.m. This intimation applies to members, players and spectators, and a generous response should be recoided.
