DAYLIGHT SAVING.
OPPOSED BY DAIRY COMPANIES,
Arising out of a discussion following the reading of a letter from the Shannon Co-operative Dairy Company, 'Ltd., requesting the endorsement of a resolution “that the abomination of daylight saving be abolished,” the Manawatu and West Coast Dairy Companies’ Association, at a meeting held yesterday, passed the following resolution: — “That this association, representing 28 dairy companies, records its objections to daylight saving as being incompatible with faming operations, and jurges all M.P.’s to strenuously oppose the re-enactment of the measure.”
