MANAWATU CENTRE MEETS. • A meeting of the Manawatu Bowl'ng Centre was held on Wednesday afternoon. 'With reference to the champion of, :hampions’ contests Mr, Nash stated hat they could not allow the competition to drag on to past March 24th. He would moye that the dates be as .Allows for the matches: Singles, Marcn vOth, Manawatu greens. Pairs, March 17th, Terrace End greens. Rinks, March ?4th, Palmerston North greens. The .notion was carried. Mr. J. Bartholomew advanced a suggestion that the clubs .on the other side of the range should play • off to find their champion rink, the southern clubs —Otaki, Levin, etc.—find their ehaninion, the Fcilding clubs and one Palmerston North club find a third champion rink and the remainder of the Palmerston North clubs the fourth champion rink. The four champion rinks to play off in North for the champion of champions. After this discussion it was decided to carry out this proposal this year. The following is the grouping of the various sections: Palmerston North, Manawatu, Takaro and Terrace End Clubs; Levin, Shannon, • Foxton and Otaki Clubs; Danncvirke, Eketahuna, Palliatua and Woodville Clubs; Northern, Fcilding and Oroua Clubs.
