MANGAORE NOTES.
Mr and Mrs J. S. Burgis and family, have relurned from Wellington, afrer holidaying at the Waikauae Beach. Airs W. R. Surridge and her two small children left oivFriday last for Sydney by Ihe s.s. Makura for a three months' holiday. Mrs G. Stubbs, F.R.G.S., of Christchurch, was a visitor here last week. Mv L. Bell, assistant engineer at the deviation works, Palmers!on North, was also a visitor to the works.
Messis ir. M. Millar, hydro branch, and Mr Cody-Wright, were also visitors during the week-end. During the week-end, a Yankee Doubles Tourney attracted six pairs in the men's section and four pairs in the ladies. The result'of the tourney was Messrs Huntley and Symons (owe 14) winning the men's section; Miss Blackwood and Mrs King (owe 30) winning fhe ladies' section.
On Saturday next, the Mangahao Tennis Club will try conclusions with its sister club Mangaore, a team of four gentlemen and four ladies being represented. The following will represent Mangaore: — « Men.—Messrs H. Symons, J. F. Ostler, W. B. King, and N. M. Porter. Ladies. —Mesdames Ervincs, King, Ostler, and Miss C. Blackwood.
