N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION.

MANAWATU EXECUTIVE. Mr. 0. P. Lynch presided over Saturday’s meeting of the Manaw-atu provincial executive of the New r Zealand Farmers ’ Union. The Dominion secretary notified that the financial year for all branches would end on February 29th in lieu of March 31st.—Received. The secretary (Mr. E. N. Budden) was instructed to inform the provincial secretary that nothing 'further had been done in connection wuth the proposed amalgamation between the Farmers’ Union and the Dairy Fanners’ Union. The provincial secretary advised that £l9l 18s 6d had been subscribed for the Glass testimonial. A gold wntch and chain, together with a cheque for £169 9s had been forwarded to Mr. Glass, as the union’s testimony of its thanks for his valuable pioneering services at the beginning of the union.
