Over the NeAV Year the ex-Mahara-jah got a telegraphic communication from Miss Miller at Bombay. He went; up to" Talnimannar and met her and her grandmother, and brought them down to Colombo. Here they remained in seclusion at an hotel for one day only, after which they departed for Nuwara Eliya. • where they have since remained. Since his arrival at the hill station the ex-Maharajah has kept to his- room, ostensibly owing to illness, while Miss Miller is not appearing much in public lior mixing with the other hotel guests. She flatly refuses to be interviewed and refuses to respond to tempting offers for signed articles for American syndicates.
