LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that an overflow yarding of pig; was recorded at the Levin weekly stock sale on Tuesday, and a total clearance was made under the hammer at prices which were practically on a par with late rates, but which showed a slightly easing tendency owing to the numbers offered. There was a good entry of sheep, and a heavy yarding of cattle, the latter consisting mainly of butchers' and potting lines. They quote a follows: —
Pigs.—YVeantrs 9s to 10s, slips 12s (3d to-14s, stores 17s to 225~6d, porkers 3u to 345, heavy porkers 38s to £2. Sheep.—Good rape lambs 16s, 16s fid, to 18s 6d, medium lambs 12s Id to 14s 3d; fat ewes 16s Id, aged ewes 6s 8d to 12j Id, sound-mouth ewes 16s 9d; two-tooth Komney rams, 33 to 4| gns.
Cattle.—Pat cows £4 10s to £5 2s to £6 12s, forward cows £3 to £3 15s'to £4, empty cows £2 2s Gd to £2 7s Gd to £3, vcalers 39s to £2 ss;. potter bulls, £3 7s 6d, £4 15s, £5 15s to £6 15s; r.w.b. heifers, £2 17s to £3.
