TOKOMARU RIDING ROADS.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—l. together with others of the Tokomaru riding, am puzzled by the apparent lade of enterprise by the liorowhenua County Council in not pushing on .with road construction in the riding. The weather for some time past has been ideal for the work, yet no more is being made. We have waited some years now, and much costly advance work has been done, and been left so long that the money will have been to a great extent wasted, and in the meantime the roads are bad. There may be a good reason for this delay, but if so, could you or the members for the riding let us know about it. The motorists and ratepayers who are footing the bill are becoming impatient, and are surely justified in asking that the work be gone on with. A full explanation of the intentions of the council, and when it intends to proceed, as far as this riding is concerned, would be greatly'appreciated. —1 am, etc., TOKO RIDING.
