Mr. and Mrs F. Y. Hewitt and family are at present holidaying at Waikanae Beach.
Mr. L. White has left for the South on his annual holiday's.
Mr. and'Mrs. J. F. Gagliardi returned at the end of last week after holidaying in Central Otago. Mr. 11. Paterson has received notice of his transfer to the Palmerston North v Deviation staff.
Mr. E. Brown is spending his holi
days in the Rangiotu district. Mr. T. J. Higgins of Greymouth, formerly of the staff here; was a visitor to the works. On Anniversary Day Mr. .1. Gagliardi,„,w_as successful, in winning Mr. W. H. GuiPrij}g’s trophy in a Handicap Singles tourney.! Tennis is in full #wuTgSu;i‘e;. la/fder matches are being contested and more enfhiisiasm is being shown than at the beginning of the season,
