TRADE BALANCE FAVOURABLE
TWELVE MONTHS FIGURES. The Dominion trade returns for the twelve months ended December 31, 1927, show a favourable balance of £3,-' 713,000, and the trade position to be much healthier than it was twelve months previously, when there was an adverse balance of nearly £4,(514,000. Last year there was a big failing-off in imports to the extent of £5,306,617, ■'' and a very satisfactory increase, of ' . £3,220,779 in the value of the exports compared with 1926, which represents \ a total improvement of £8,327,398 in ■ the trading position of the Dominion.
