WELLINGTON SALE. Tho usual fortnigjhtly sale of hides, skins and tallow- was held at Wellington oil Friday. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen throughout the sale. Practically the whole offering was quitted under the hammer. Quotations. Sheepskins:—Dry, par to Jd. higher; salteds firm at late rates. Halfbred, 12id. to 15Jd.; fine crossbred, 134,d. to lod.; medium coarse crossbred,, ll}d. to 14d.; short to half-wools, 9d. to 12 1 d.; lambs, 9d. to 14Jd.; dead and damaged erossbreds, 7sd. to 12Ad.; inferior and badly damaged, 2d to lOd pelts, 7d. to damp salted and green, 6s. 6d. to lis.
