He instances two promisingnew features. The other .new foa tures was the propulsion of motoi vehicles by gas as a substitute to benzine. It was claimed that ga; could be produced from charcoal anri the dropping of cows for one-fifll the cost of benzine. This was a most interesting experiment, and so far ha' met upth success. The High Coir. missioner- insisted tliat the Britisi manufacturer was largely responsible for the small percentage of Britis! motor cars imported to New Zealand Australia and New Zealand, he said were sending £15,000,000 a year oir of the two countries to out side Great Britain for motor vehicles What was necessary to capture thi immense sum was enterprise on tin 'part of the British manufacturers which would cater for special cnlnnia requirements.
