PLEADS NOT GUILTY, BUT AD-
MITS MURDER,
LOS ANGELES, January 3. I-lickman was arraigned before the Court here to-day. He pleaded “not guilty by reason of insanity” to the kidnapping charges. - January 25 was set as the date of trial on the double indictment; The presiding Judge asked Hickman: “Do you realize in pleading not guilty by reason of insanity you are admitting the murder?” Hickman replied: “Yes, your Honour.”
