WEDDING.

THAWLEY—COTTLE

The wedding was solemnised at St Mary's Church, Levin, on Tuesday, o Els ; e Mav. second daughter of Mi and Mrs A. E. Cottle, of Ihakara, t< .Peter Edmond. only son of Mr am Mrs W. ThoAvley, of Wellington. Tin Rev. J. C. Davies was the ofheiatinj clergyman. The bride, who was giv-en-away by her father, wore a dainty French 'frock of white georgette, heav ;iv embroidered in silver and pearls her veil, which 'was of white tulb hand-embroidered, was arranged will orange blossoms. Miss Ida Cottle, oWellington, cousin of the bride, war •ne of the bridesmaids. She wore i frock of salmon pink crepe-de-ehem and georgette with over-dress of silver. The other bridesmaid was ils!r Vera Cottle, sister of the bride. She wore a silver taffeta frock, scalloped on to a skirt of silver lace, and finished wth silver rosebuds. Both carried beautiful bouquets, the handiwork oi Madame de Roux. Mr George Carter, of Wellington, was best man, and Mr Harold Cottle groomsman. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride.

The reception was held in the Druids' Hall, where the usual toasts were honoured. The bride's mother wore a navy repp frock fnrshod with beige erepe-de-chene and lace. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a black crope-de-chene frock finished with white ac-cordion-pleated crepe-de-chene. The happv couple were the recipients of many valuable presents. The bridegroom presented gold expanding wristlet watches to the bridesmaids and also to the best man, and to the bride a nice Fox fur. Later in the day the happy couple left by motor .for the North, where the honeymoon is to. be spent.' Their future home will be in Wellington.
