The competitions shall be known as the Now Zealand Championship Haka and J'oi respectively, and shall be competed for {innually at Shannon" on the first day of January in each year. 2. The teams in each ease shall comprise not less than ten competitors. 3. No competitor shall be eligible to compete in more than one team with the exception,of the captain, who may act. in that capacity to two or more teams. 4. The decision of the Judges ap- j pointed by the committee shall be final. 5. The Shield in each event shall carry a cash prize of £l2 10/. or such greater sum as the Committee may from time to time decide. 6. The runners up will receive a cash prize of £5 or such greater sum as the committee may from time to time decide. 7. The Shield shall be held by the winning team for a period of twelve months, but must be returned to the Committee in good order and condition noi; later than November 30th in each year. 8. The holders of the Shield will be responsible for damage to or loss of same, except by fire. 9. The Shields shall not be offered for competition except at the above time and place. A breach of this condition*- will entail forfeiture o£ r the Shield by the holders and* disqualification from future competition. JUDGESFOR 1928:
