Owing to the death of Mr S. Inder, a member of the Levin Cltib, the third and* final round of the Triangular Shield, to have been played at Shannon on Wednesday, was postponed. The match will be played after the holidays. The holders of the Kinneburgh Feathers (A. Blackwood, E. Butt, H. Knowles and F. Whibley) successfully defended them on Wednesday afternoon against a rink from Foxton, consisting of Hayes, Walker, Woods, and Nye (skip). The visitors started badly, having failed to score on the first eleven heads, the holders being 15 up. •On the remaining heads they made a good recovery, scoring 16, the game ending in the*holders' favour, the final score being 26 to 16. The final for the club's pairs championship was played on Wednesday evening between Clayton and Whibley. (skip) and Bovis and Quarvie (skip), the former pair winning by 32 to 25.
